Yeah, but fandom didn't start slagging McGann off to his face for not being
the Doc any more, and sending him death threats and ***. I'd imagine that
was pretty much enough to kill any goodwill or con-going temptation that
Eccles had, and I can't blame him.
I reckon he *could* have got round to it eventually, as McGann did, but not
now- fandom cut off its nose to spite its face, in that regard.
