There isn't any. It's called an off-topic post and on unmoderated
Usenet newsgroups, if properly identified as such (and this one is...OT
in the subject line), it is up to people who have no interest in the
subject to ignore the thread rather than post largely pointless
comments.

If there are other Usenet practices you and others here are not
familiar with, I suggest you visit news.newusers.questions and they
will be able to inform you without the need to resort to another off-
topic posting :-)
