Basically, I agree wholeheartedly with Daibhid's view on this. When the
Time War wiped out both races it did so throughout the timeline, but
Which,races are still able to see/remember how the timeline was before. This
knowledge could have been passed on to other races in the form of myths
and
legends, so even humans like Rodrick from Parting of the Ways might have
heard about the Daleks having existed.
It's less effort to say humanity remembers the Daleks because they
interracted at a prior point in the current version of the timeline.
by Occam, is the better explanation -- your own construct is terribly
unwieldy.
No it isn't, but my explanation might have been unwieldy - I'll give you
that :-)
