As for whether the audios can be used, I don't see why not, and in this case
I can't see any other way into Survival. (Unless we allowed a jump from
Tremas to the Master, but that really falls under the category of a
character deliberately looking like and being played by a regular, which
isn't allowed).

The big drawback with going via audio stories however, is that fewer people
know those stories. The game depends on us having an idea as to where we're
aiming for; we might have different routes in mind and so pull in different
directions, but at least we know where we're going. To get to Survival we
need to finish via a Big Finish audio, which leaves many of us in the dark
as to what to aim for.
