Epcot
We were up a little after 6 am.and had breakfast at the hotel. Nothing to
brag about but filling. Left for Epcot at around 7:30 and were parked and
at the turnstiles at 8:00 am.. The park actually opened about 15 mins.
early and I power walked (Not ran) to the Land Pavilion where I got 2
Soaring Fastpasses. I'd just finished when SWMBO arrived and we went in
the the standby line. We were on the ride almost immediately. Always
enjoy it, though I wish they'd fix the "bug" glitch part way into the
show. Exited Soaring and then rode Living with the Land. It was pleasant
experience, I hadn't ridden it for some time. Now SWMBO went to Mouse
Works for some shopping while I rode Mission Space Orange. Walked by Test
track to see what I could see which was nada. Then caught the Jaminators.
Met up at Soaring for our Fastpasses then caught the Circle of Light
show.. It's nearly noon and my wife has a conference starting at 1:30.
Managed to squeeze in Spaceship Earth on the way out. Now back to
Homewood Suites where she caught the shuttle to the Convention center and
I caught a nap. SWMBO returned at 5 and we went back to Epcot. Thinking
to catch Micky Dolenz at the Flower Power Concert. No dice, the line for
the next show stretched half way 'round the World Showcase Lagoon. So
caught Off-Kilter's last show instead then off to Mexico for Gran Fiesta
Tour Starring The Three Caballeros followed by the China Pavillion. Now
we checked in for our ADR @ La Hacienda de San Ángel. We had a waterside
table. We ordered the Botana as an appetizer and shared the Del Mar with
the "Abuelita" as desert which we finished just as Illuminations
started. Watched it until just before the finale. We slipped out and
managed to escape ahead of most of the crowd and were back in the room in
20 minutes. Not a bad day.
I probably would have gone back to the parks after dropping my wife t the
hotel. I actually did this when she was there for business and I played,
but that time, she had to work all day. I'd just drop her at the office
and head into the parks, then pick her p at 5.
BTW, what's the "bug defect" in Soarin'?4
