I don't have one, but what sort of problems?
It has a cool qwerty keyboard that pops up when you turn the phone
sideways to message. When I'm creating a message it works great.
When I'm replying to a message it doesn't come up unless I do
cartwheels and back somersaults first. Also, to change from vibrate
to ring or vice versa I have to go through the procedure 6 or 7 times
before it finally works. (This phone has a touch screen much like an
iphone which I should have gone ahead and gotten anyway.)
Anyhoo, I finally stopped at the AT&T store last week. The clerk said
yup, you're right, it's not working properly. I just got it in
January so it's still under warranty. I could either get the phone
fixed or get a new phone. Well heck, I'll take a new phone! Great.
Here's the number to call.
All righty then. I call that evening. I get a guy who is probably in
the Phillipines or Nepal, I'm not sure. Didn't recognize the accent.
Went through all kinds of things including taking the battery out of
the phone, doing something that would reset defaults, and then he
asked that I do something else that would probably erase my address
book and all my contact phone numbers. Uh yeah, don't think so. Then
he said okay we can skip that part. Then we had to verify three timse
what the problems were that I was having, that I wanted a new phone,
yada yada yada. He says okay I'm just going to read you the terms and
conditions of getting your phone replaced. When he gets to the part
that says I'm getting a reconditioned phone, I said Whoa!! Back the
truck up, Buster! I don't want a reconditioned phone; I want a NEW
phone. I understand, ma'am, but this is our policy. But I want a new
phone. I bought a new phone, paid a lot of money, it doesn't work,
hasn't worked right since I got it, I want a new phone. We will be
happy to send you a reconditioned phone, ma'am. I don't want a
reconditioned phone that is probably a phone that didn't work, was
returned to you, and now you're going to send it to me? No I don't
think so. I want a new phone or prorate a refund to me in the amount
of the difference between what I paid for the phone and its current
depreciated value.
This got me nowhere. I can get a new phone through the insurance
department if I say I dropped it or it went fell in the toilet but I
still would have to pay a $60 deductible. I don't think so. I'm
keeping my poor little temperamental phone. But if you see someone
doing carthweels down the streets of Albany sometime it's me trying to
send a reply to a text message!
Ugh! Don't get me started with phone insurance! I was paying Assurion to cover five phones - that was $25 per month! My daughter's phone was damaged so I filed a claim. They sent a refurb as a replacement. It had a small "mark" on the hinge, like it had been dropped. After a week, the mark turned into a crack and the phone fell apart. When I called, they told me they would be glad to replace it, but it would cost another $50 deductible and that since they only allow two replacements per year, they would then cancel my insurance. To make a long story short, I did a lot of complaining and kept working my up until it was finally replaced for no charge. I then canceled the insurance on all my phones and decided if one broke, I'd either get my own replacement on eBay or extend my contract a year for a new phone.
