If they use Everest as the backdrop to the fireworks, they'd
be 1500-2000 feet from the animals. Farther if they could
somehow relocate Asia's animals. There seems to be enough
sound deadening stuff (i.e. trees) to deaden most of the explosions.

Besides, with Disney's air cannons, and launching from or behind
Everest, they could probably create a pretty quiet show.
(Relatively speaking.)

Keane,

When we built Everest (what's the acronym these days ?) we built-in several
platforms for just that very purpose. I mentioned this once before and your
assignment is to bring back a link to that post !! Only then will I forgive
you for your previous transgression.

You do have an accurate set of points - The park has been arranged such that
low level rockets and air launched crowns would not disturb the animals. The
original intent was to have the guests view the show in the parking lot
after the park closes. The midway was supposed to open out onto the parking
lot and there was to be some ground show as well. As I am sure that would
not work very well with the current layout, I am sure this will not be the
final solution but you get the idea about placement and type.

Boom

Of course no decisions have been made so this is still - all speculation.
