River country gets its water from Bay Lake. and there is a serious
problem with many southern lakes, i.e., an amoeba, naegleria fowleri,
which has killed several people in the Orlando area. It is very rare,
but If it gets in your nose, it can move to the brain and possibly
kill you. Details can be found at:

Disney has signs warning against swimming in Bay Lake, altho without
explanation- this would be a likely cause.

FWIW,
That amoeba is no stranger to other states.
We have it here in NC and it has taken the lives
of a few people as recently as 2 years ago. Innocently
swimming in local lakes where thousands have swam
before and after them and still do without hesitation.
Two people died of the same amoeba within 10 days of each other in the
Austin area last year.
