moderated boards just seem to have a bit too much sweetness and pixie
dust for my taste. Not that we don't have that here - just in more
appropriate doses.
Yes, I know exactly what you mean.
Another problem I have with moderated forums is that many of them are
funded by commercial advertising. I have seen many situations where
posters are not allowed to mention the names of competitors to the paid
advertisers and posts with any negative comments about the advertisers
mysteriously "disappear". I prefer unbiased opinions in my discussions
as opposed to those that are formed based on profit.
Reminds me of the ole Florida Forum in CompuServe. (R.I.P.)
