My family and I are trying to decide when we should go to Disney World.
We only have two options based on family schedules for the year. Either
August 4th - 11th or December 26th - January 2nd.

August will obviously be a hot month in Florida but lodging is much
cheaper. The week after Christmas is, to my understanding, a very busy
period. My concern is that we will not get to see as much as we'd like in
December.

What have others experienced during those same timeframes?

Thanks for all your input.

George

I would go in August:
1. cheaper
2. more use of the pools (kids like the pools as much, or more, than the
parks anyway)
3. less chance of travel problems (delayed flights, inclement driving
weather) depending on where you are coming from
4. smaller crowds

yes, the heat is intense, but if you plan for it and take a few hours out of
the parks each afternoon to cool off and rest (pool, maybe) it works well.

If you have young(er) kids, I would go in August, but plan each day to take
a few hours rest out of the heat, probably in the pool. Most kids like
swimming the best, anyway, so that wou
