I have taken my laptop on trips to Disney but have never used it for access as I am on vaction and don't have the time to use or want to pay 10 bucks to get online. I drive down and use it as a DVD player for the kids and in the hotel we stay at durning the trip. They have free access and I use ot for weather and such.
But if you do decide to pay the 10 bucks and this applies to any hot spot not just Disney. Beware that anyone else on the network can see what you are doing online unless you are on an encypted site. Meaning it starts with https: notice the s that is where you see the lock on the page like on shopping sites.
Also most email porgrams send your email user name and password in the clear and anyone on the network can see them. Do you have a webpage you go to everyday and your browser saves your user name and password? Open that page and every one can see your user name and password.
http://www.hotspotvpn.com/ This site sells access to a vpn this will encrypt all your traffic and no one on the wireless network can see your traffic.

I know this has been discussed before but staying at PopC, how much is
it per day for Internet access in the room? I'm so excited. DD just
called to say that she bought a laptop last night pretty much just for
our trip next month! Not only can we download our digital pictures
every day, but I can do a TR every day! I think it's also been
mentioned that we can leave the laptop at the front desk while we're
out of the room. Is that correct?
