Has anyone ever used the "Automated Vacation Planner" (i.e., the AVP)
from "Tour Guide Mike?"
I signed up when I realized that it had been so long since we had been
to WDW that I had no idea how to "time" things there any more. :) It
took me a bit of time to figure out how to find stuff on his website,
as it was not very intuitive for me. When I realized that it was
pretty much like sorting through all kinds of different "piles" of
paper, i.e. information, it finally made sense.
I like that he breaks the parks busy periods down by day and evening.
And I like (being the planner that I am) :) all of the reasons behind
his recommendations. He explains the logic behind his recommendations
and once you understand that, planning becomes a LOT simpler.
What you don't get are minute to minute daily plans...no ride BTMR at
10:33 a.m. type stuff. Just information so that you can make
decisions that will save you time waiting in line. And tons of
information on the parades, shows and special events that decrease
waiting and increase viewing.
I'll let everyone know how I liked it after our trip which starts two
months from today! :)
