Hi KayDee!
If I may address just two points in your reply. And that is that most
of the ground machinery, i.e. STAIR-TRUCKS were mostly stuck on the
tarmac, by ice. Nothing was moving, trucks etc were ICED to the
ground
Well, I would see the point much better if the airline didn't try to get
the plane out of the gate in the same weather. It's not like these are
sudden storms...
And Yes, I did have access to all of the airport's amenities, only
thing wrong here was that there were hour plus long lines to the rest
rooms, restaurants and seats. I was sitting on the floor (and I'm 64
with a bad back). Did I have access to a Hotel, no, by the time we
saw the problem there were no rooms at the Inn and the roads were Ice
covered, so not much traffic was moving.
My point simply is that you're not stuck in a tin can with little-to-no
ability to move, go to the bathroom, eat or leave.
Mostly, it's the "leaving" part that has people in a tizzy. Again, even
if I don't agree with the tactics or the spam, it is darn close to the
definition of unlawful imprisonment.
Oh, and no, I didn't see anything about Memphis today... what happened?
