Found something in plus size, and with wicking fabric. They might seem to
cover too much compared to shorts, but I love wearing my similar ones in the
summer.
My guess is thats because you can use them without sunscreen. All
those products have an SPF rating.
I would suggest if you have an local REI, to go and check out what
they have. In general the REI staff is very knowledgeable about
their products. And the have alsorts of cool stuff, for summer wear,
which doesn't look like traditional hiking gear, like very lightweight
polos.
Two things, either wear a wide brimed hat or remember to put sunscreen
on your ears. Second, if you where Teva's at the park, you need to
put sunscreen on the tops of your feet too. I see people forgetting
both of those places all the time.
