Why the fascination with the artificial environment of Disney? ???

Question for disney fans ... why do you visit this artificial
environment multiple times? From scanning the emails I get the
impression that Disney (in its many forms) is the primary vacation
destination for many of you OVER AND OVER. While disney is maybe
cutsey it's artificial. Why not visit the real world? It can't be the
cost as I checked out the daily fees for the disney resorts. That same
$400 per day at the Polynesian Resort will get you 4 nights in Paris at
a reasonable hotel. Add in the cost of food, transportation, plastic
momentos, etc... and you could easily vacation in Europe, Asia, Africa
or other destination for the same price. eat real food, interact with
the people of other nations, buy real products, have a REAL cultural
experience.

It's amazing to me how much some of you value shaking hands with an
AMERICAN teenager dressed in a character costume. PLEASE! lol! And
you get their autograph?! What do you get out of strolling through a
fake Mexico, fake Japan?
