We asked one of the waiters did they really see the tip added to the bill,
the person said, "Yes, they do, although not immediately." I think this
person said about a two week lag time on it with taxes taken out of course.

It's 18% because it's on the bill. I think that's fair because the bill
is usually quite high so the tip is pretty big.

If you do not tell the waitstaff till after you received your bill at the table....they would then have to take the bill back to the station and void it and rebill under the DDP.... If we were not on the dining plan, I would say nothing and just ... It's *bicker* that seems to think that letting the waiter know up front that you are not on the DDP means you are a lousy tipper and implies that you deserve lousy service for trying to "work over" the waiters....
