Re: Looks like we're canceling May trip to WDW (long)

Well...

We've been enjoying "The World" since Sunday morning thanks to
Lexapro. Yup, Wifey was able to get on a plane and actually enjoy the
flight. Not only that...She hasn't been fretting about the trip home,
either! (I'm just hoping I can get the rental car returned and not
miss our 7am flight. I can just see us stuck in the loop around
ORL...round anda round anda round. But, thats a week away. No need to
worry about that now.)

Anyway...a few bullet points after 6 days.

BEAUTIFUL weather! Mid 80's and LOW humidity! Can you believe it?

SOARIN is FANTASTIC! I don't like rides/heights but this was GREAT!
Rode it 3 times with my daughter. Even got into row 1 twice. HOLY CRAP
are you high! Yeah, I looked down.

CBR. Always wanted to stay there. After 4 days, that desire is now
fully satiated. Always liked visiting it but, somehow, staying there
just isn't our cup 'o tea. Would return to CS without any hesitation
which is layed out similarly. (we booked 4 at CBR, 9 at AKL. AKL is
like home. LOVE it here!)

DD and I did the Segway tour this morning. A Must Do! 1 hour of
training and then a 1 hour guided tour through World Showcase. The
tour guide makes a few stops and gives a schpeal; Italy, explaing why
the buildings are actually a mirror image fo the real ones; France,
explained why Vultures don't make the Eifel tower their home, etc.
Definately book this one early if your thinking about doing it.

Visited "Old Town" last nite with a couple local friends. Motorcycle
rally on thurs., classic cars on Fridays. Pedestrian only road lined
with shops and a few bars; Friendly people of all nationalites. Great
place to have a beer and people watch. A few miles East on 192. (ever
see the 200' towers that look like "Rainbow Popsicles"? That's it.)

DW was looking forward to a trip to Belz. It turned into a "ME" day
instead of a DW/DD day. Yup, we ended up spending MY money on ME! How
often does THAT happen... Other than $150 on a purse my DW thought our
pastors wife would like, we got outa there after only another $150, or
so. Oh, happy day!

Back to "The Grind"!

Later
