ok the new (est) kid on the block will jump in with 2 feet...and land head
first but...and this is a big but.....we bought into SS as we wanted to go
through Disney...SS wasn't the selling point for us, ok it is our home
resort but we will probably not be staying there...I loved OKW and will
reserve my time there next winter unless I go for the new cruise to the
Mediterranean and how many would have bought like we did???? I might never
have to stay at SS...OKW looks like it was originally done to test the
waters and they are bigger and roomier...when Disney realized that this was
catching on it is like most areas of supply and demand.....now they had to
build more but smaller to maximize all the potential buyers...doesn't this
make just a small bit of sense and being new we have an expiry of 2042?? ( I
think) and those that originally bought I hear are trying to buy into the
newer areas to expand upon their expiry dates..

ah geez just reading this I sounds confuseling to me

is "emotional?" So, I guess the thousands of DVC members didn't think
financially what they were doing. I for one did put it down on paper.
I even went to my CPA to ask his opinion. After that, I took the
unsigned contract to my wife's company lawyer to make sure things were
ok legally. Regardless of your figures, my CPA figures tell me I'm
already coming out ahead. Neither you nor I know for sure about the
sales at SS. It might be the economy. It might also have to do with
SS itself. I for one didn't like the resort. I also think an
important point is being left out. You're not limited to Disney World
when you join the DVC. Since our joining in 1994, the DVC has added
more and more resorts all over the world. One last note. My CPA
became a DVC member one month after us.
