I keep hearing "New Orleans was spared the brunt of the storm". But
only in the last few hours has anybody really talked about the toll in
places like Gulfport.

One death is too many, my heart goes out to those families and to
everyone who has suffered any kind of injury, physical, emotional or
even property.
