There is a new virus circulating as an e-mail supposedly sent by UPS.

Here is a link to the UPS website with their info re: same.http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/about/news/service_updates/virus_us....

This is a very real and nasty little thing and unfortunately I got it
on my computer yesterday because I ship via UPS a lot. It is very
difficult to get rid of and even when it is all gone it can still
leave some things messed up on your computer. If you are unfortunate
enough to get it I can provide some tips and tricks on how to get rid
of it.

Hopefully this will help to prevent anyone else from having to deal
with this thing.

Thanks, Bob -- I hope you were able to thoroughly get your system
clean. This is a legitimate virus folks. Do you have updated firewall
and a/v and it got through anyway? ......miki

Hi Miki:

Yep, I finally got rid of it.

Yes I have firewall, Avast, Super Spyware Terminator, the full Suite
of utilities from Uniblue and Windows Live One Care Safety Center.

This was my own stupidity that got me into this as just a couple of
days before I got the e-mail I initiated a tracking request for a lost
package with UPS. When the e-mail came I thought, great, they found
the package and I opened the attachment. Normally I wouldn't open any
..zip, .exe, .bat etc. file even from my dead Mother in Heaven but it
was just too coincidental.

The first clue I got that something was wrong is the windows security
alert thing popped up telling me my firewall was disabled so.....
I'm guessing the first thing this little bug does is disable your
firewall.
