Re: Is there an online searchable database for music?

only a fool would dismiss the messenger because his shoes are dirty.
Ed Jay

If he's walking onto my freshly-cleaned carpet,
I'd have a word with his boss and recommend to others
that they find a company with more conscientious personnel.

The site I use to find artist, song, etc.,
works perfectly on Opera, IE and Firefox.

Again with the *works on x*--and the apologist thing.

As to standards...whose web standards did you want to talk about,

I've already said that.

W3C?

That's what I already said.

Microsoft?

It is NOT in Microsoft's purview to make Web standards.
They could join the W3C and work WITH them
but they In fact attempt to BREAK Web standards.

Getting back to things that ARE Web standards,
the practical choices are HTML 3.2 or HTML 4.0.
and DO specify a Doctype.
Most of the errors that the Validator flags are simple stuff.
The Validator will tell you exactly what you did wrong
--this is not particle physics.
Folks that won't fix it after the machine has done the hard part
--like I said, USELESS.

When did you want me to start cross-posting?

Knock yourself out. I'm still curious to see
someone salute your *Standards don't exist* opinion
--except that you seem to have repudiated that in the parent to this
post.
