Well said. Thank you, Neighbor.

It's so, so sad. When I caught the news that one of the levees broke
in New Orleans, to see all that destruction again, people losing
everything the refugees from Katrina being hammered once again, it's so painful I can't begin to express how much it hurts to see people
hurt so much. I'm so, so sorry for all the losses. And I do hope and
pray that somewhere in all of this some good can be found.
FWIW, we're donating wherever we can -- it doesn't seem much, but most big stores are asking customers to tack a dollar or their change
to the relief effort, busloads volunteers have put themselves in
harm's way to help, Vancouver's search and rescue team were in New
Orleans withing hours and they'll move on down the coast as needed,
kids inschools are pooling their lunch money are foregoing trips to
the candy store to send to the Red Cross. It makes me proud.
I'm also very proud of the way the Canadian lumber industry has moved
to consume piles of future stock to provide for the rebuilding. They're supposed to be for our future but how can we hold on to it when our fellows are suffering? There's even talk of donating
boatloads of wood to New Orleans to get the rebuilding started.
You suffer, we suffer. Simple as that. I wanted to let you know that you don't stand alone.
