For one thing, watching a live competition is infinitely superior to
watching dancing on TV: there's always much more going on than anyone
can see, but at least you aren't limited by what the cameraman happens
to be following. As for choosing between dancing and watching, I love
social dancing, but I also enjoy watching other people dance, whether
it's a competition, a milonga, a modern dance concert, ballet, or a
theatrical production. The great thing is that it isn't necessary to
make a choice.
