They apparently still exist, but the newest citation I found online
to the column is from 1998. There is still something called
"Shoptalk," though, that's apparently a regular column (there's
a linky menu on the right side).

The content is behind a paywall, though. I guess when your
target audience is newpaper guys, you can get away with that.
Aw, hell. I suppose now I'll be getting a bill for posting
