Well, I was born on 2 Dec 1960, so the 60s are pretty spotty for
me until 65 or so, and I don't recall any A&W stand. Do you recall
where it was? If you have a nice rememberance of it, I'll be glad
to add it to my blog, columbiaclosings.com which is a mix of new
and historic businesses which are no longer in Columbia..
The first places I specifically remember eating were Bell's Drive In
and Liggett Rexall, both in the Forest Acres area of Cola:
