One of my sisters is a leftie and she could only sit at the left-most
end of the dinner table; it was a small table and if she sat anywhere
else her elbow would constantly bang into the dinner next to her.
Good question! I'll ask her - she always told me the nuns told them
lefthandedness was "bad" but I'll bet that your reasoning is right.
Mom and I are interpreting the story through her eyes as a 6-year-old!
