Have a fun one and accept no Mike & Ike or tiny Chiclet box cheap
stuff!

Well thank you most kindly, and the same right back at you.

(As for crappy goodies, that reminds me of the years I was dating a
doctor who handed out "nice, healthy" boxes of raisins at Halloween.
The looks in some of those children's eyes was murderous...)

I made that mistake when we first bought a house and started handing out
goodies 20 years ago; I liked getting boxes of raisins at Hallowe'en
when I was a kid many years ago but didn't realize it had become a
virtual faux pas (we don't have any kids, nor has anyone in our circle).
Ever since then, we give out chips and miniature chocolate bars, and
there haven't been any complaints :)

I like to put some Mary Janes in the mix just so the kids can have
a "what the heck is this" moment. I didn't see any at the store this
year though.

I give out comic books with the candy too.
