It always worries me when I don't understand something that Veronique
has written.
V, is there something missing from the above? Or am I just being
obtuse?
No, I used to type random words instead of what I meant, and now I
seem to be typing randomly, period.
The configuration of the spine and how it rests or is suspended
between the shoulders and pelvis means the legs (as has been
thoughtfully translated from my gobbledygook in the post following
yours) of mammals are underneath the body, while reptiles are out to
the side. It is very clear when observing the skeleton, unless the
skeleton is a monotreme. Some reptiles, like crocs, rest with their
legs out to the side, but gather them underneath to run more
efficiently.
Even though I've just reread the paragraph four times, I'm not
convinced I haven't written it in a cuniform-sanskrit medley, so
apologies if I continue to make no sense at all.
