Are you out of your mind? I copied and pasted his quote, complete with his

serious problems.

Who does it look like my immediate previous post came from, where I
"copied and pasted [your] quote" and added your signature? You or me?
Is it possible someone could be confused as to which? What if I wrote
a post that looked like this:

Religion is the most valuable asset we have as human beings. I think
that the Bible should be the core text upon which our childrens'
education must hang.

Is it possible that someone might mistake that for a post you made,
and for my addition as your .sig line? Would it bother you if they
did?

The rules of quoting and attribution on usenet that we are discussing
here are so basic, and are so firmly entrenched as Usenet convention,
that you are coming across like someone who just got online yesterday
by continuing to misunderstand them or deny their importance and
necessity. It's as if people are telling you you shouldn't ride the
bus nude and you're acting as if you can't imagine such a societal
norm exists.
