What everyone else said. I am so sick of this crap. This arc is this
strip's last chance, as far as I'm concerned. I will sit down at my
kitchen table and write out a handwritten letter to the publisher of
every American and foreign newspaper I have ever read, demanding that
they drop this tired piece of crap in favor of one of the many
excellent, under-distributed little gems available out there. Or in
favor of "Mary Worth" reruns from 1974, whatever.
I'm with ya. I'm not sure why many mainstream comic strip
artists are so willing to treat their characters like crap like
this-perhaps they feel the broader audience won't care
whether the characters are capable of growth or not?
Well a good counterexample would be BD in Doonesbury
over the past year-from the *** of jokes in the 70's and
80's to a very nuanced character as it turns out.
