I wouldn't make that mistake. The doctrine of inspiration applies to the
original documents only. The story of the woman taken in adultery is, I
believe, a shibboleth, one of many in Scripture, whose intent is to elicit
the very response you just made above. Unlike you, I am not inclined to
throw the baby out with the bath water ..
