Are you kidding? My personal box is all Linux, built painstakingly from
source code; I'm on bleeding-edge Firefox (Deer Park, source code as of
20051122) and everything else.

The work computer right next to it belongs to my employer, a staunch
Microsoft slave. We use Microsoft *web* servers, for cryin' out loud...
everybody uses Apache but us! So I'm stuck with having to use Outlook and
IE6 and all that rubbish, because "nobody ever got fired for buying
Microsoft". If the aforementioned system scan ever turned up nonstandard
installs, my 13.37 years tenure wouldn't buy me a place at the front of
the unemployment line. At least Outlook et al are behind my firewall so I
have SOME protection from the big bad world.

So... I do all my personal stuff on the Linux box, and only work-related
email and web activity on the XP box.
