Thanksgiving seems to be the one holiday were many (Christian) Merkins
feel obligated to say some sort of prayer before eating. I've witnessed
occasions were this is the first time since Christmas that they'v e
thought about the Big Guy which has led to some fumbling and mumbling
prayers. Awkward but dammit this is Thanksgiving so we have to be
thankful....

Reminds me of an old joke- Two ne'er-do-wells are driving on a mountain
road, miss a turn and go hurtling over a cliff. It's a long way down
and the gentlemen have time to ponder their fate. The first guy turns
to his friend and says "I guess we should say a prayer, but I've never
been to church and don't know how to pray." The second fellow says
"I've never been to church either, but I used to walk past the Catholic
Church and I heard them pray." His buddy says "Well, then just repeat
what you heard." The second guy starts chanting "B-5, N36, I-18..."
