Never going to happen...she's too heavily tied into x-history for them
to bring her back and take her out of the x-men for any length of
time...and, broken up or not, the Cyclops thing is never going to go
away completely (nor should it...it would be out of character)...if
they have to do anymore Phoenix stuff (and I would actually prefer
they didn't), they should just use Rachel...who is essentially the
same character with less baggage (which is pretty sad given Rachel's
own history).
You're forgetting, during the War of Kings story, both Rachel and Korvus had their Phoenix powers disappear. Rachel makes some mention of "mom" as it happens. I agree that bringing Jean back is a bad idea, but it would take some decent writing to make Rachel a believably functioning Phoenix host again. (Of course, I'm not counting the probability that some writer will completely ignore that part of the story.)
