Dang, you guys just hit the nail on the head - those are two of the
things that annoyed me about the last issue that I couldn't remember
once I sat down to actually write something.

Anyone know what the actual distance between Earth and its nearest
neighbor is? I would think it's more than a million. And the 500 year
thing - silly. Just because you get some special abilities doesn't let
you beat entropy. Come to think of it, aren't they all in their 60's
already? They should ALL look that old.

In more than one alternate timeline, Reed found ways to extend lifespans
to extraordinary lengths or even to abolish "natural" death altogether.
Not that silly, in context.
