Come on guys I can't be the only guy on this board that is stoked
about Secret Invasion????? I've been re-reading New Avengers and
seeing if i can see hints of Secret Invasion and you really really
can. This seems well thought out.
The rest of the people who like crap like this left ages ago to go
lick random creator's arses on their private forums where dissent
gets squashed and they are free to frolic in their ignorance.
It's that way --->
Fallen.
You're a sad pathetic troll Fallen that no one pays any real attention
too. Thanks for trying though now shoo...
Fallen is pretty much right, though a bit extreme in his
description.
The people that are most stoked about Secret Invasion are mostly
visible on forums that are more "creator-friendly" than Usenet.
It isn't even that much of a surprise. Creators are more likely
to go somewhere where they feel appreciated, and fans are going to
go to where they can talk to creators, or at least read what
creators think. And at least some of those forums are so "friendly"
as to squash dissent, to varying degrees.
Creators have mostly moved away from Usenet, and the most vocal
people that remain on Usenet are those that are more critical than
praising. Those that were more praising than critical have little
reason to stay, since they can go to more agreeing forums. Those
that are more critical get a colder response on said forums, often
ignored, sometimes posts deleted, and sometimes banned.
I definitely don't agree with creator forums deleting or banning
people who are critical. Let's be honest though, its basically what
Fallens trying to do, my opinion is different then his so its wrong he
feels compelled to belittle and squash it. It makes him worse than the
people hes criticizing because he becomes a hypocrite when he does
this.
It's incredibly sad to try and corral some kind of posse to agree with
you about me. I don't care that your opinion is different to mine, I
care that you're an idiot.
I definitely dont enjoy every comic story or am big on most event
driven comics(don't get me started on Maximum Carnage *shudder)
Honestly why Secret Invasion works for me is basically because it
harkens back to my childhood and how I dreamt a Skrull invasion should
go. It just amazes me that other people were out there reading the
same Fantastic Four I was and saying these Skrull guys have way more
potential then is being used.
I can't applaud or diss the story too much at this point, hey it could
be utter tripe but I am willing to give it the benefit of the doubt
and try to enjoy it. My biggest issue is when people start complaining
long before a story as started or the ones who never post anything
about something they like, only griping in a vain and sad attempt to
sound deeper and cool but in actuality they just sound will..vain and
sad...
The story 'has' started and most of the complaints are about the premise
of the story so those of us who dislike it don't need to wait for it to
come out. And seriously, if anyone ever thinks it's either deep or cool
to even 'be' on a comic group then they likely can't even string a
sentence together in the first place.
You make a very interesting point though Billy Bisette and if Fallen
had taken a more intelligent and less attacking approach we wouldn't
have a problem. I just find it hard to take the guy seriously when he
comes off like a bitter ten year old.
The opposite of attacking is not intelligent and you're never going to
bother me even if you manage to get your attempts at insults out of the
playground level.
Fallen.
I had planned quite a long post dealing with your trollish ways but to
be honest your posts have lost any ability to make sense or even
offend. Don't respond, your utter lack of intelligent posting has been
proven by these past few posts. You've sunk your own arguements. Now
take your ball and go home..no ones playing your game anymore troll...- Hide quoted text -

--y'know, you do realize that you don't have to respond to Fallen. I
know you might feel he's attacking you or debasing your character, but
there are no Usenet requirements that say you *have* to respond to
people you don't like. I've certainly been on the receiving end of
comments I felt were full of hate or spitefulness, and 99% of the time
I simply don't respond. Your continual responses to him just
perpetuates something you claim to dislike.
Tony (who doesn't feel Fallen is a troll. His points may be rather
extreme, but I agree with him.)
