So, to those reading the Miss Marvel series...

I admit, I love Miss Marvel but I hate Carol Danvers. It's the
strangest thing but while she's Miss Marvel, she's a wonderful and
dynamic character that leaps off the page. Every time she fights, its
like the Marvel Universe has got its very own Wonder Woman. I think
that we definitely have an A-list character that just never got around
to being used in a proper manner.

Then she opens her mouth....

It's strange but I honestly think Carol has to be the most self
absorbed hero in the Marvel Universe after Wonderman. I mean, the
Sentry has an excuse in that he's a card carrying lunatic. Tony Stark
has an excuse because, world dominating Ozymandias that he is, he
really IS the world's smartest man after Reed/Doom. The whole reason
for her existence as a superhero is to become the "best" and become as
famous/beloved as Captain America. Yes, she cares about people but it
amazes me she misses that should be the ONLY concern in being a
superhero.

It's issue after issue of Carol failing to realize you EARN the status
of top superhero in the world. Amazingly, her publicist has to
explain this to her. If you want to be recognized as the world's
greatest hero then go out and SAVE THE WORLD.

Lately, I've been enjoying the issues more because of the double A's
in her title of Arana and Arachne. It's strange that I never liked
Spiderwoman II. However, I've absolutely loved her in this series and
will buy Omega Flight because of it. Also, the sixteen year old
carapace girl seems to have a better grasp on being a hero than her
supposed mentor.

After Arachne leaves, I'm not sure I'll continue to pick it up.
