I get it. There's an Essenstial X-Men and an Essential Classic X-Men.
Thanks.
Not exactly.
There is :
- Essential Uncanny X-Men vol. 1, collecting #1-24
- Essential Classic X-Men vol. 2, collecting #25-53
- 7 volumes of Essential X-Men, collecting Giant-Size X-Men #1,
#94-228, and assorted annuals, crossovers and core miniseries.
Not printeing those is a blunder, since they're so important historically.
Well, it took them years to print Essential Classic X-Men vol. 2, so it
could take a bit of time. New volumes of Essential X-Men appear at the
rythm of about once a year, so I wouldn't expect vol. 3 until 2007.
Annuals, maybe?
Not for the Silver Age. But there are a quite a lot of X-Men
appearances during the hiatus (Amazing Adventures, Defenders, Hulk,
etc.), so the main problem is to decide which ones NOT to include in
the third volume.
