I don't know whether any fans have been wondering about it for years,
but one obvious possible watershed event would be whether to have a
child. Pregnancies don't always go smoothly, or turn out the way one
expects (e.g. Gwen Stacy's children :). Could put a crimp in Mary
Jane's modelling and/or theater work, too. Just speculation...
