A classic usenet moment, wasn't it?

Hypocrisy is a very hard word to type. So for me to use it as frequently as
I do, you know I'm not typing it for no reason. :-)

Huh? Whatever gave you THAT ridiculous idea?
Actually, it's nice that at least 1 person here can take a moment to see
where the train tends to derail from the tracks, and that I am seldom (if
ever) the one derailing it. I will acknowledge, however, that once derailed,
I take great pleasure in embarrassing and humiliating the hypocrits that
caused it to derail in the first place.
My own little superhero complex at work 'n all. ;-)

My behavior fills me with shame.

Not sure, but I think it involves 3 paperclips, a chair, and a bottle of
champagne.

That's precisely what it means. Which makes the reactions from the virgins
that followed all the funnier, doesn't it?

Fight the power, Agnos!

Hogwash!

I'm from Quebec. We don't agree with anyone about anything. Nothing
personal.

No offense (and I mean this literally, not just as a throwaway comment) but
with the number of fanboys in here looking for a fight, it's hard to keep
track of who was polite with whom and when. Ideally, we WOULD keep better
track of such things.
I mean, I know Wiacek's a good guy because he made me retype his name 100
times until I got it right. So's Nathan. Astrobiochemist is Scott Dubin's
attempt at redemption so it wouldn't make sense for him to lose it like he
usually does under that name. So it's pretty safe to bet that any discussion
with those guys won't degenerate. Even with me. Proof that I am just a
mirror reflecting what's thrown at me (except I throw it back twice as
hard). Then you've got Dubin, Hill and Fallen who are all cut from the same
"non-conceding / must absolutely disagree with everything" cloth, so
personal insults and things going ugly are pretty much guaranteed with ANY
interaction with them. Then there's Henderson who made sure I'll never
forget his name by going on and on and on about how he killfiled me while
replying directly to my posts. I didn't get it either.
Then there's the creators... we chased Brevoort off the newsgroup during
Disassembled by simply asking him WTF this load of crap was (it's all
Googlable and pretty funny). Fabian is a big sweetheart who may be too
sensitive for places like this, while Kurt represents everything both good
and bad about the average usenet poster (see discussion about Stark's
moustache and how he contributed to half the posts therein while condemning
the relevance of such a thread). Dan Slott? I had no idea he was even here,
but he seems to have the same healthy sense of humor here as he does in his
(great) books.
The rest? I see names come and go but generall it's one bit cluster*** of
aliases who will disagree with me about anything, always be the first to
throw the first personal insult, and run away when confronted with
irrefutable evidence (see the guy who thought Wolverine's mask was shaped
that way to account for the hairstyle underneath, then completely
disappeared from the thread when a screenshot was sent to him).
If you were thrown into that last group, I apologize. It takes me a while to
remember names and associations. But this is one big schoolyard and when 90%
of people are here only to disagree with and insult one another, some really
good people get hit with shrapnel.

Where would the fun in THAT be, though? :-S
