Inconsistent 'Decimation' of Mutants (spoilers)


Apart from the obvious question of 'why certain people kept their powers' there also seem to be developing a further issue.

Why do some of the mutants get shafted when their powers are taken away?

Beak gets turned into a human. Iceman gets turned from ice back into a human. Most of the students in the x-mansion seemed like normal boys and girls etc.

Polaris keeps her green hair.
Blob gets turned into a skinny guy with shedloads of tough skin?
Chamber gets his bio-energy (and I assume his telepathy) removed but is left without his internal organs or a large portion of his face and chest???

Why didn't these two get turned into normal humans? Did they piss Wanda off at some point?

One of the poor sods in District X got demutanted while phasing through the floor (and is still alive somehow?). I assume lots of flyers also died as they fell spontaneously from the sky so Wanda is now a mass murderer 'again'.

I know it's early days yet but so far nobody has even asked the 2 questions above in comicland never mind got an answer. It's just weird.
