He provided an explanation: regular, ordinary magic, as opposed to
Chaos magic. It's right there, and "magic" and "chaos magic" are both
equally valid and equally silly.


In other words, why did

Don't read New Thunderbolts, dropped it after issue 6. Nicieza
clearly didn't think the villian's motivation had to make any sense, or
was unwilling or unable to recocgnise that it didn't make sense, and
that was enough to make me swear off his writing for good, as I didn't
like his original Thunderbolts run either, where he arbitrarily fake
killed off many of the characters in the Busiek for some really
artificial "plot twists" Bleh. Textbook bad comic writing.

I loved Busiek's Thunderbolts, but Nicieza completly killed it for me.
