This might be worth watching after all.

You don't see a new live action superhero series very often, though
sure Smallville became a staple and then there was Heroes. So I look
forward to it.

Did they change the stuff everyone was complaining about? Other than
"costume looks silly and has pants" and "it looks like a cheap
Halloween 'sexy Wonder Woman' costume" I couldn't tell what people
were complaining about. The show's creators changed the pants to
less-glossy, darker ones, sort of like sweatpants not spandex dance
pants, and they changed the color of the boots. I liked it better
before. Considering it made me realize how gutsy and bold Lynda Carter
was to wear that revealing costume in the previous Wonder Woman
series.

For Superman Returns Superman outfit was darkened as well. It seems
like they don't want the characters to look corny and flamboyant. But
it's superheroes. At least flamboyant ought to be okay. Chris Reeve
RIP pulled it off so well in the original Superman movie.

I think for the 2010s, women in entertainment are seen as capable of
doing more action stuff, look at Milla Jovovich and Angelina Jolie
etc. As well they're not inhibited about wearing revealing outfits. I
think they're expected to be very physically fit. It seems like with
regard to the costume the creators were intimidated by the mocking of
it. But I hope they turn that sentiment around and I hope this
Adrienne Palicki really brings it all to the role, without
selfconsciousness or embarassment.

If you're super in the real world, nobody's going to worry about your
clothes. You don't see a guy flying and the first thing you think is
"what a stupid outfit." It's just taken for granted that this guy is
different. He's from another planet, maybe that's what they wear there.

One of the justifications for tights, BTW, is that you can wear them
under street clothes. I guess Palicki's pants would work, but she's not
going to be able to wear them with a skirt.
