Re: Not really looking forward to Batman movie...

I don't know - I usually catch most super hero movies in theaters - I saw
Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Superman Returns, and am looking forward to
Han***, but I don't really have any interest in the upcoming Batman
movie. Joker looks too bloodthirsty for my taste, and it seems like they
should have had Batman up against some other DC villain instead of going
back to the Joker again. I also don't like Batman's outfit much - it
makes him look more like a geek this time around than anything scary,
which is what he's supposed to be.

This is despite the fact that I subscribe to Batman, Detective Comics,
and Catwoman. Obviously I enjoy the material, it's just that I don't like
how they translate Batman to the silver screen very much. One notable
exception for me was 1992's Batman Returns, for some reason.

That said, I can't really muster any enthusiasm at all for the new one.
Are any of the rest of you feeling this way as well? Would you have
rather seen other villains, or a different plot?

TDK looks to be incredible.
I'm a Marvel guy, but I really think TDK may be the best superhero movie
this year.

Most of you know me for thrashing Superman Rerun!

But The Dark Knight looks like a fantastic adult comic book movie!
I think it may give Ironman a run for its money at the box office.

Heath Ledger, as the Joker, is going to give Jack Nicholson acting lessons
.... from the grave!
