During the Power of SHAZAM regular series, it was revealed that Billy
(& Mary) were empowered by Shazam directly (I assume that he meant to
empower 'the child of CC Batson', not realizing that there were TWO of
them, Either that, or Mary was given her power by someone else...),
the Greek & Roman gods, titan, hero, and Judean king whose names
formerly made up the acrostic SHAZAM seem to have merely been cover
for what the wizard was really doing - training Billy to be his
replacement.
War of the Gods (and maybe POS #11?) made it clear that Shazam himself
got those powers from the SHAZAM sextuplet originally for him to
bequeath to his champion.
Nope. POS #10 covers the origins of Shazam and Black Adam (where Shazam
specificly says that instead of Teth-Adam receiving HIS power, Blaze
somehow managed to ensure that Adam received powers stolen from the six
Egyptian gods).
POS# 11 covers the battle between the Marvel Family, plus Ibis and
Bulletman, and the Seven Deadly Enemies of Man (who got out when Shazam was
captured), which concluded with Ibis re-trapping the SDEoM in their
statues. No mention of
POS #12 is the final part of the Blaze arc, and reveals that because Ibis
was the one who resealed the SDEoM, Shazam had more power when he was
relaeased, and consequently, so did the Marvel Family. It's pretty obvious
that the only way they could've received this extra power was if they were
using the power of Shazam to begin with.
Given that the stolen powers of the Egyptian gode somehow enabled Blaze to
corrupt Adam, I can't see Shazam willingly making Billy vulnerable to Blaze
(or any seductress) in this manner.
