choosing to use "race" in the widest sense of the word. By your logic, a
Chinese and Japanese would be from the same "race" - in fact, by your
logic,
any number of Far Easterners (Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese,
Tibetan, Mongolian, etc) would be of the same "race" since we all pretty
much look the same and probably share a great deal of our genetics. Yet
clearly the lay Chinese or Japanese person would consider a
Chinese-Japanese
union, for example, to be an inter-racial one. Unless, of course, you
happen to be of white European descent and just happen to have the
typically
Western patronizing tendency to dismiss us all as "Asians".
