I have this feeling that Cassandra was taken out of the Batgirl role,
so Betty Kane could assume it. In older universe's Kathy Kane was her
aunt, so if that's still true she now has a reason to do that.

There's a certain symmetry to it since Bette actually was Bat-Girl at
one point.

That would free up the Flamebird name, which I feel could go to Jason
Todd if he ever reformed. There's several reasons. The first
Flamebird was Jimmy Olsen, a redhead, and in one reality TOdd was
naturally a redhead. Just make that canon again. A Flamebird is a
Phoenix, and he rose from the ashes just like it. He's assumed
Nightwing's role and Nightwing and Flamebird were partners.

When was Jason Todd ever a redhead? It must have been an Elseworlds
because it wasn't true pre-Crisis or post-Crisis. There's also the fact
that *** Grayson became Nightwing, which gives us two of Batman's
former proteges using those aliases. (Meanwhile, two Kryptonians
associated with Superman have also used those names.)

And speaking of Batwoman as I did earlier, does anyone think she might
die quickly? Because earlier promotional material made it look like
Montoya was in the costume. Kane could die and have Montoya take her
place.

I hope not. She may not be a huge success, but I'd like her to stick
around. And while I really enjoy Renee Montoya, and would like for her
to have regular appearances in comics, I can't see her ever putting on a
costume.
