OK, maybe I didn't see it from page one. ;-P I think the end of the
first issue is plenty fast enough; definitely fast enough to ruin the
story and make you wonder why you had to wait 4 issues to find it out.
To me, the old Vigilante, when at it's best (and not doing mysterious
spirit Indian powers) was what the Punisher has morphed more into now -
the vigilante (small v) who encountered more real life situations, in
grittier environments, with often more tragic results. Punisher was
catharsis - bad guys getting what was coming to them when the system
wouldn't. Vigilante was going after perpetrators of horrible crimes,
that we got to see, or the end results thereof. I mean...even Alan
Moore did a Vigilante story.
This....this is neither- not action, or story...just yaaawwwwnnnnn.
