That we know of; neither of Ted's kids appeared pre-Crisis; David's first
appearance was in the post-Crisis Roger Stern-created-and-written Starman.
And neither was mentioned in Infinity Inc.
But as I recall, Jack's rod was an old one of Ted's, as indicated by its
sheer size relative to Ted's slightly larger than a laser pointer model. I'm
pretty sure that particular rod, as opposed to the one Ted generally carried
around in JLA-JSA team-ups and the like, was supposed to have been built
prior to whatever year in the floating timeline Crisis occured in in the
DCU.
