out. How would you overcome the need for an electronic device and
some technologically dependent medium such as the internet to
disseminate the e-books?
In terms of number of titles, books have about a 550 year head start.
By comparison, the number of e-books is minuscule.
What would be the incentive for putting, say, the holdings of the
Library of Congress or the British Library into e-book format? The
cost alone would be astronomical.
It is also true that books
are easier to use.
And always will be.
And many would rather read a book in printed form than its electronic
brother.
I don't know -anybody- who prefers e-books.
